Last Saturday we decided to check out the zoo.
First thing I can say is the Houston Zoo is 100x bigger,
cooler & better than the zoo in Idaho Falls. (duh)
This zoo even had a carousel.
Anyways, before our short drive to the big city,
I did the right thing and downloaded the zoo song to my phone. You know the tune...
"daddy's taking us to the zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow..."
Sometimes I think my favorite hobby is to annoy Kirk. (in a loving way of course!)
The jelly fish tank was my favorite exhibit.
I had never seen one before in real life and I seriously fell in love.
They are such fascinating and psychedelic creatures.
Kirk is going to buy me one. Who needs a dog?
Actually, I really did look into it when we got home.
But apparently they require a lot of upkeep and they are super expensive.
I don't care. I still want one.
This is Kirk using his head to demonstrate the actual size of this giant sea creature.
Lyla had a fun time. I think the giraffes were her favorite animals.
She kept pointing and saying something over and over that I couldn't comprehend.
By the end of our adventure I'm pretty sure she was more interested in
the other kids running around than she was the animals.
But that pretty much always happens anytime little people are in her sight.
That's all I have to say about our trip to the zoo,
but I'll sing more of the zoo song if you want.
but I'll sing more of the zoo song if you want.
"we're going to the zoo zoo zoo, you can come too too too..."
I just love that jam, such powerful lyrics.
